Black students from South Africa’s Pretoria high school for girls have been protesting against the institutionalized white supremacist policies embedded into South Africa’s formerly apartheid “model c” system and what pundits have termed the white policing of black hair. A video, filmed at the school on Friday, went viral, it featured a young student standing up to an adult male while in another video, security can be heard telling the young girls that all of them will be arrested.
